We are looking for an exceptional key account manager who…

  • Identifies, develops and drives new OEM business opportunities in Europe.
  • Plans and drives account penetration after identifying SAM for Spectra-Physics’ laser products.
  • Builds cross-functional collaboration to forge cooperative and strategic partnerships.
  • Meets targeted sales and orders goals and specific objectives, at individual and team level.
  • Develops and negotiates pricing and supply agreements with marketing and management.
  • Supports the strategic planning process with specific market research pertaining to select accounts, monitors competitive activities and identifies/reports market needs.
  • Reports on sales funnels and forecasted sales.
  • Represents the company at trade fairs and other photonics events.

What will you bring to the team, along with your intrinsic motivation for customer focus and business development:

  • Degree in engineering, electronics or physics or similar experience with good understanding of business economics.
  • Experience in B2B–OEM business in technology sector, preferably with a focus on lasers or photonics.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and penetrate new accounts; track record of successful account growth.
  • Excellent understanding of all phases of the sales cycle. Preferred experience in strategic sales methodology.
  • Experience with CRM systems would be preferred (SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, etc).
  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
