Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Theoretical Particle Physics

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites applications for the position of Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Theoretical Particle Physics at the earliest possible date. The position is a W2 fixed-term position (6 years) with tenure track to a tenured W3 position (Associate Professor). The professorship is funded by the Federal Tenure Track Program.
 
Scientific environment 
The professorship belongs to the TUM Department of Physics and to the ORIGINS cluster.
 
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. Possible research directions include but are not limited to direct and indirect searches for new fundamental physics; analytical and numerical computations of high-energy scattering processes and quantum-field theoretical methods. The teaching load includes courses in the university’s bachelor and master programs explicitly in the elite master program “Theoretical and mathematical physics“.
 
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who has demonstrated initial scientific achievements and the capacity for independent research at the highest international standards. A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification as well as pedagogical aptitude are also prerequisites. Substantial research experience abroad is expected.
