Sales Engineer

Bartington Instruments is a world leader in the design and manufacture of high precision fluxgate magnetometers, gradiometers, magnetic susceptibility instruments, Helmholtz Coil systems and associated data acquisition equipment. Our markets include defence and aerospace, geoscience and archaeology, medical, security, and oil and mineral exploration.

Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will support company growth through sales and support of our product ranges. Overseas travel will be required in this role.

Key activities of the role are as follows:

• Pre- and post-sales technical advice to customers.
• Attendance at tradeshows and exhibitions.
• Customer support and product troubleshooting.
• Performing customer training sessions.
• Sales and marketing analysis as required.
• Other duties at the request of a Company Director or Manager.

Skills and experience

Relevant industry experience and a physics or geophysics background with education to a degree level is preferred.

• Excellent written communicator.
• Good interpersonal attributes.
• Well organised.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Must be able to work in a team.

Hours and salary

• This position is for a 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday.
• Salary £35,000 to £40,000 p.a. depending on experience.
