The AMOPP group in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at University College London carries out world-leading research covering a broad range of areas in AMO physics. These include:

  • Attosecond and strong-field physics, and FEL interactions with matter.
  • Cavity optomechanics with levitated nanoparticles.
  • Low-energy antimatter physics with positrons and positronium atoms.
  • Molecular physics and spectroscopy.
  • Optical biophysics.
  • Quantum many-body physics.
  • Quantum optics and information processing.
  • Quantum interfaces, quantum sensing and matter-wave interferometry.
