About the job

Reporting to the Board, the Director and CEO is responsible for providing overall leadership to fulfill the vision and mission of TRIUMF. The Director oversees the operation of the laboratory, including its research programme, its relations with member universities and with federal and provincial governments, its engagement with the national scientific community, its ties with other laboratories around the world whose interests overlap with those of TRIUMF, and its engagement with the public, both locally and nationally.

Experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring a research career of international distinction in areas of science served by TRIUMF. The new Director will bring successful senior leadership experience gained in a university or in a related research organization and will be a strategic and collaborative leader. With a passion for research and innovation, the Director will bring a track record working with industry and government, and the leadership capacity and vision to lead a large and complex organization.
