We have an exciting opportunity to lead the newly formed Conference Series Operations team in managing the processing of proceedings content from submission to production handover and to oversee the efficient running and optimization of Conference Series systems and workflows, including liaison with third-party suppliers and other IOP departments.

Key accountabilities include

  • Line management, training and development of a team of three publishing co-ordinators.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of CS content from submission by conference organizers through to production handover.
  • Facilitating effective liaison between the Conference Series Operations and Development teams.
  • Ownership of the Conference Series group’s systems and processes, ensuring their optimal functioning and regular development.
  • Ensuring the effective deployment of third-party technology, liaising with suppliers as appropriate.

About you

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of managing, developing and motivating teams.
  • In-depth understanding of publishing and production processes.
  • Experience of continuous improvement methodology.
  • Excellent face-to-face and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to identify problems and propose and implement solutions.
