Training and development
The training begins with a residential course on the industrial context of NDE, including lectures, hands-on NDE activities, industrial visits, networking and a start to the mentoring programme. This combination of courses will develop your technical-knowledge breadth and underpinning skills, equipping you for success in your future engineering career. Residential courses are delivered by world-expert academics in the area of NDE and are also an excellent opportunity to socialize and network with fellow students.
What we are looking for
Applicants should have or expect to obtain a first, good 2.1 or Master’s degree in engineering or physical science. In our experience, the best candidates can use their knowledge to solve technical problems, are interested in useful research, are well organized and are good communicators.
An enquiring and rigorous approach to research together with a strong intellect and disciplined work habits. Good team working, observational and communication skills are essential. Applicants are required to meet the entry requirements at the institution for which they will be based.
