The Department of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics is seeking to appoint as soon as possible a W3 University Professor (m/f/d) for “CMOS Design”

The professorship is expected to focus on the design of CMOS devices and circuits.  Possible research areas are: development of novel design architectures for hybrid integration, integration of additional functionality on chip for sensing and photonics, device and circuit architectures for highest frequencies; highest integration density; lowest power consumption; best hybrid coupling to other material platforms, in particular to GaN based optoelectronics; efficient collaboration with foundries for the realization of demonstrators; novel circuit designs based on quantum technologies.

The requirements of the position are defined in Section 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz).

The candidate is expected to take on leadership positions also in an institute with several professorships.

Intensive collaboration within the Excellence Cluster QuantumFrontiers as well as the Nanometrology research center LENA are expected.

The applicant should be internationally renowned in one or more of the above-mentioned fields. We expect commitment for the planned establishment of a larger research cooperation supported by third-party funds, publications in internationally recognized scientific journals as well as very good performance as a lecturer. International research experience will be acknowledged.

In terms of lecturing, the professorship will be part of the bachelor and master programs of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Physics.
