Turbulent Dynamics of Tokamak Plasmas Seven Postdoctoral Positions – closing date 1 December 2018
With £4.3M of funding from EPSRC, the Universities of Oxford, Strathclyde, Warwick and York, in collaboration with Culham Centre for Fusion Energy, are embarking on a 5-year programme to understand the fundamentals of turbulence in tokamak plasmas.
The Programme will combine an exciting mix of theory, computation and experiment. We are presently seeking seven postdoctoral researchers in these fields – initially for a period of 2 years, with the possibility of an extension.
While each position will be hosted by one of our partner universities, you will be encouraged to collaborate across all four universities and Culham Centre for Fusion Energy. This is an internationally-facing programme, and you will be expected to make an international impact through your research outputs. Funding is available for international conferences and research visits.
The initial closing date for applications is 1 December 2018.
We will also be recruiting PhD students to start from October 2019.

We are committed to inclusivity and diversity, and encourage applications from a wide range of backgrounds. We will work with you to put in place additional support measures when required (e.g. for those with caring commitments).
