ROYAL BROMPTON & HAREFIELD HOSPITAL
£52,643 - £58,558 p.a Inc. HCAS
JOB REF: 312-RB 0196
The Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) Unit of the Royal Brompton & Harefield Trust was established in 1984. It runs one of the largest cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) clinical services in the world and also has a dedicated inter-disciplinary research team, including a large physics group, carrying out cutting edge research into MRI of the cardiovascular system.
The Trust has three clinical CMR scanners at the Royal Brompton Hospital, a state-of-the-art research scanner, and one additional scanner at each of the Harefield Hospital and at an Imaging Centre at Wimpole Street, London.
We are looking for a forward thinking and proactive MR physicist who works well on their own and within a multi-disciplinary team, including other physicists, radiographers, clinical cardiologists and information technology specialists. This is an exciting role which will provide physics support to all of the Trust’s CMR. The post will involve close liaison between the CMR group at the Royal Brompton Hospital and the other sites to ensure optimal exchange of CMR developments throughout the Trust and will also allow opportunities to interact with other leading international groups. To facilitate this, the successful candidate will be supported by/embedded in the CMR physics research group of the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust.
