Job description/Person specification
We are looking for an Air Traffic Management Safety Engineer to provide Air Traffic Management (ATM) skills to external and internal clients and to assist in the development of business growth.
Bristol, Malvern and other locations will be considered.
The primary output for this role will be provision of ATM expertise to deliver defined artefacts in support of projects to our clients. Artefact production will cover the whole range of Safety Management System documentation.
What will I be doing?
You will act as Technical Lead on Air Traffic Management Safety Engineering projects. Dealing directly with customers and working as a member of a team on wider related projects, including safety engineering consultancy to military and civilian clients. Other responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and establishing good relationships with new clients and be able to develop propositions.
- Ensuring consistency of technical processes, methods and tools for the delivery stream ensuring a coherent integration of engineering activity to meet customer requirements.
- Assisting with the coordination of bids and estimates, generation of technical/solution strategies (e.g. Evaluation & Test Strategy) and work breakdown structures to support project cost plans and bids.
- Assisting with the identification of project technical risks and assisting the Project Manager with the management of them.
What do I need?
You will have significant experience within Air Traffic Control/Management, as an Operator or Engineer with a Safety background.
Safety Critical Systems or Safety Qualification at Masters Level or equivalent
You will have knowledge of communication, navigation and surveillance areas
A good understanding of Ministry of Defence Air Traffic Management regulations, Civil Aviation Authority and Military Aviation Authority
Experience leading teams in an aviation environment would be desirable
