The Particle Physics group at the University of Manchester has two vacancies for Research Associates working on the LHCb experiment at the LHC at CERN. The work is funded through  ERC Starting Grant 852642 ‘BEAUTY2CHARM’. You will be expected to work primarily on physics analyses and the RTA trigger at the LHCb experiment. The Manchester LHCb group currently has particularly strong activities in CP violation and mixing studies in the beauty and charm sectors as well as in Lepton Universality Violation measurements. You will contribute to some or all of the following topics: RTA trigger commissioning, the early measurements programme for Run 3 in decays of beauty mesons to charm mesons, and measurements of CP violation in decays of beauty mesons to charm mesons. 

The positions require a PhD or equivalent in particle physics. You will have experience in particle physics data analysis and/or software development for reconstruction, triggering or alignment and calibration activities.The positions will be initially for a period of two years, extendable up to five years. There is an opportunity to be based at CERN for an extended period.
