Premier Pathways Teacher Training is a pioneering PGCE programme which unites leading schools, training providers and education specialists in developing outstanding and confident new teachers. Delivering practical, extensive and salaried training, Premier Pathways has been expertly designed to thoroughly prepare graduates for a successful career in education.
Why work for us
Premier Pathways offers a uniquely flexible and supportive programme of development to trainee teachers. As an applicant, you select the school you train in and how you develop. You are in control of your own progression.
In extending teacher training to 2 years, Premier Pathways offers a seamless transition into full-time education. Initially adopting a support role, you will enhance your teaching talents and accelerate your responsibility at a manageable pace.
As a salaried PGCE alternative, free from the constraints of tuition fees, it is no surprise that Premier Pathways is being heralded as "the ultimate PGCE".
Jack, an MA Physics graduate and aspiring Science Teacher currently completing his first year of the Premier Pathways programme: “The first year on the job prior to the PGCE has been really helpful. It allows you to be immersed in the environment, see how to balance work and life without the workload and stress. The courses are excellent and well organised and I’m easily able to contact anyone when I’ve had queries to ask.”
Training and development
Exceptional training standards and unprecedented levels of support for the trainee are at the heart of what Premier Pathways stands for. Participants receive invested guidance from a designated mentor within their chosen school alongside first-class external training from the nation’s leading PGCE provider – The University of Buckingham. Further round the clock care is available through the Premier Pathways team, whose experience and knowledge of the sector ensures that every trainee is wholeheartedly supported throughout their teacher training journey.
