Can you think in 3D? Do you have a proven academic record, ideally a relevant PhD, involving the design and implementation of 3D graphics / mathematics?
This challenging role is to join a small, motivated development team working on the design and development of complex, high-quality visualisation / geometric modelling applications. They offer a dynamic, stimulating and informal working environment near to central Cambridge.
You should have proven algorithmic / numerical modelling skills and ideally a good understanding of vector mathematics / 3D geometric modelling. Although software development fluency is not required (training can be provided) it is very likely that the right candidate would have a natural interest in computing and therefore a reasonable knowledge of coding – ideally using C / C++ / Python or similar. You must of course be able to demonstrate a natural aptitude and an appetite for a career in mathematical modelling! At the more senior level, previous experience within CAD / CAM Software Development would be particularly relevant.
In addition to a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package, the role offers excellent career development prospects for the right candidate.
Key skills: 3D, mathematical modelling, software developer, geometric modelling / CAD, C / C++, computer graphics / visualisation, PhD / MSc, maths, Cambridge.
