We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to work for a fast growing SoC Electronics Company based in Cambridge. In addition to developing the test frameworks themselves, you will also be responsible for investigating test failures and maintaining the various test rigs so you will need a wide range of experience within test automation development and hands-on software & hardware testing.
Based in Cambridge, this company also have a facility in central Europe, and the Test Automation Engineer will be required to work closely with that team which may involve frequent travel to the European site.
As the product is comprises of both software and electronics hardware elements we will need experience in developing and debugging automated HW and SW based test systems, including a degree of programming so you will also need to be familiar with Object Oriented programming in C++ and Python, plus source control systems such as GIT and Subversion.

Responsibilities of Test Automation Engineer
To be considered for the role of Test Automation Engineer you need a relevant combination of training/qualifications, and the following skills/experience:
- Prior role within engineering science and technology company
- Good standard of education, with a BEng/BSc Hons 2:1 as a minimum
- Excellent communication skills - able to collaborate with stakeholders, and travel to Europe to meet other team members
- Familiarity with OO / C++ Programming and scripting using Python or similar
- Experience working within an Agile system development environment
