Welcome to South West Nuclear Hub, University of Bristol

The South West Nuclear Hub provides a focus for civil nuclear research, innovation and skills in the south west of the UK.

From its home at the University of Bristol the Hub is driving a step-change in Higher Education across the region by accelerating and growing nuclear research and teaching activities. The Hub provides a unique location for academia, industry and government to come together to meet the opportunities and challenges facing nuclear energy in the UK and around the world, providing an effective route to engagement with local, national and international stakeholders.

The Hub incorporates the Bristol-Oxford Nuclear Research Centre (NRC), established in 2011, and since 2016 has welcomed new academic and industrial members. Together this alliance is actively pursuing collaborative opportunities in the UK and internationally and securing a long-term research and innovation pipeline by continuing to grow its strategic relationships.
