Laser Systems Engineer
This is an additional production role required for the assembly and production of our laser systems including optic/laser alignment, fault diagnosis, result monitoring, analysis and the final optical assembly of advanced laser products.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assembly and test of production products, including optic/laser alignment, fault diagnosis; result monitoring and analysis
- Final optical assembly of advanced laser products
- Optical alignment and test of advanced laser products
- Laser set up using sophisticated optical techniques
- Laser calibration using electronic control
- Improve laser build documentation
You will have:
- Degree or equivalent in a laser science or related subject and/or have previously gained the equivalent experience through employment experience.
- Experience of aligning and testing optio-electronic/laser equipment.
- Strong innovation, analytical and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge and experience of quality control/process improvement methods
- Excellent communication skills, in particular verbal skill to keep team up to date with progress.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to work to deadlines
- All candidates must be either a British Citizen, a national of the European Economic Area (EEA), or Switzerland, or hold Home Office permission to work within the UK.
