This multi-award winning photonics technology company are looking for three PhD qualified Scientists / Engineers ( Physicists / Electronics Engineers etc ) with a background in Photonics, Optics & Laser Systems to join their team as Product Specialists. These exciting roles will involve frequent travel to customer sites both nationally and internationally and as such the Product Specialist can be home-based from pretty much anywhere in the UK.
The Product Specialists are key technical members of the commercial side of the business. They act as the primary technical interface with the customers in order to understand the clients research, analyse their needs and, by applying their expertise in Physics, Electronics, lasers & Photonics Systems, to help develop bespoke laser / photonics based solutions. Customer projects can range from fundamental physics research through R&D of quantum technologies, gas detection, threat detection and bio photonics for the medical field -and many more besides. The Product Specialists will be key in helping their clients' projects evolve through application of the company's technologies and capabilities in cutting edge laser / photonics and associated instrumentation systems.

To be considered for the role of Product Specialist (Physicist / Electronics Engineer ) you need the following:
- A PhD (Doctorate / DPhil / EngD ) in a Scientific Discipline (Physics / Electronics etc)
- Photonics / Lasers
- Experience of developing novel technical solutions
- Prior customer / client focused experience
- Excellent communication skills

Salary: Highly competitive - likely to be in the range of £30-45K depending on experience plus full travel expenses.
