Applications are invited for two Ph.D. scholarships in the group "Theory of Complex Quantum Systems" at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) in Moscow, Russia. Skoltech is a new graduate university established by the Russian government in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (http://www.skoltech.ru/en/). It is an ambitious project aimed at bringing together the best international and Russian traditions in education, research and innovation. The official language of instruction and communication at Skoltech is English. International candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The research activities in the group "Theory of Complex Quantum Systems" are concentrated in two broad areas: (i) superconducting materials and (ii) relaxation and chaos in many-particle systems.
Required qualifications: M.Sc. in physics (or a comparable degree) with good training in quantum mechanics.
