Project Title: Growth/synthesis, properties, and device applications of III-nitride nanowire structures
PhD studentship positions are available to investigate the properties and applications of III-nitride nanowire structures in the Nanoelectronics Group (http://people.mcgill.ca/zetian.mi/) at McGill University. The student will join a dynamic team, with special focus on the development of nanowire LEDs and lasers for solid state lighting and displays, and/or on the investigation of solar cells and solar fuels, including photoelectrochemical water splitting and various artificial photosynthesis processes. The students will have ample opportunities to be trained and to gain expertise in materials growth/synthesis, device design, fabrication, and characterization, to system-level integration.
