The Laboratory of Excellence (LABEX) Plas@Par (plasapar.upmc.fr) opens three Postdoctoral positions of 18 months in various domains of plasma physics. The research will be carried out in different teams of Paris and its surroundings.
Position 1: “Electrostatic probes in beam plasmas for space propulsion”, at Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (www.lpp.fr) and ONERA (DMPH, www.onera.fr/dmph/) Palaiseau.
Position 2: “Plasma-Cell Interactions: Efficiency of Nanosecond Plasma in Melanoma Cells Treatment and kinetics of Reactive Oxygen Species”, at Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (www.lpp.fr) and Institut Gustave Roussy (www.igr.fr).
Position 3: “Turbulence cascade, intermittency and heating in the Solar Wind" at Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (www.lpp.fr) and Laboratoire d’Etude de la Matière et du Rayonnement (lerma.obspm.fr).
We encourage applications from excellent candidates with a diploma/master degree. The review of applications will begin May 31, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.
Hosted by Sorbonne University, the LABEX gathers about 130 researchers and teachers in the study of plasmas: natural plasmas, laboratory plasmas generated by high power lasers or by pulsed power electricity devices and cold plasmas with their industrial applications.
The positions are financed by University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris.
The gross salary of about 2800 €/month (2300 € net), in the case of a starting researcher. It includes Social Security and other various charges. Applications of experimented researchers are also welcome.
