About Tessella
Tessella successfully delivers software engineering and consulting services to world leaders in R&D, science and engineering. Through the application of scientific methods and rigorous quality procedures, we enable clients in life sciences, energy, the public sector, and consumer industries to achieve a wide range of objectives, including, forecasting floods, developing fusion power, enhancing military sensor capability, improving drug discovery and development efficiency, and reducing risk to health and the environment in the extraction and production of oil and gas. With offices in Europe and North America, global companies rely on Tessella for business-critical assignments.
Our Success
Since our foundation in 1980, the key to our success has been the academic and technical excellence of our staff and our commitment to the high quality of the service we provide. Through this, we have achieved worldwide recognition as leaders in our areas of specialisation.
Our Staff
We recruit the best scientific and numerate graduates who wish to develop careers as professional software engineers, working with state-of-the-art technologies. We put great emphasis on training and development: every employee is provided with an annual training allowance of 20 days. All of our technical staff have good science, maths or engineering degrees (min. 2:1), many of whom have PhDs. This means that they can readily understand customers' requirements and translate them into practical solutions. From supporting safer drug trials, to researching cleaner energy, to developing flood forecasting techniques – Tessella’s technical staff work to deliver solutions that make a difference to real lives.
